General Information
The Cadet dinghy was designed as a youth training dinghy by Jack Holt in 1947.  He
made it too small for adults, and class rules prohibit those over 17 from participating.  
The Cadet has mainsail, jib, and spinnaker, so after graduating to a larger boat the
Cadet sailer has experience with all three types of sail.
